When is a bike not just a bike? When it can be something so much more. In Costa Rica some 150 rural communities participate in a microcredit program where they receive bikes that act as seed money for community micro-lending programs. If it weren't for bikes, co-op members like Don Jesus couldn't have access to capital for bettering their farms, businesses or family access to food, water or education.
