Nuts and Bolts
Village Bicycle Project (VBP) West Africa

Spare parts are vital to the long term success of VBP’s learn to ride and one day workshop programs. Bikes used by students to get to school are often shared within the family for other tasks like collecting water from a village borehole or taking goods to market. This means that our donated bikes see a lot of miles and need regular maintenance to serve families for the long haul.

Dauda, seen here, and the other VBP Ghana mechanics are constantly in need of good quality pedals, inner tubes, chains and other spares to ensure that ¼ of each shipment we send can be put towards VBP programs.
